Semmelweis University
Semmelweis University, founded in 1769, is Hungary’s premier medical university and one of the oldest and most prestigious medical schools in Europe. Based in Budapest, it offers English-taught one-tier Master’s programs in General Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy, plus Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in nursing, physiotherapy and allied health sciences, and an extensive PhD program through its Doctoral School.

Admission Requirements
Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy applicants must pass an online oral entrance examination/interview covering Biology and English, evaluating academic knowledge, motivation, communication skills and suitability for the program. Bachelor's applicants (nursing, health sciences) need a secondary school leaving certificate; Master's applicants need a relevant Bachelor's degree; PhD applicants need a medical/health science Master's degree.
Typical documents: application form, certified diploma/transcripts, passport copy, proof of English proficiency, CV, motivation letter. Material fees apply in addition to tuition for Dentistry and Pharmacy from the 2nd year.
PhD note: 50% tuition discount available for Semmelweis University international graduates.
